2015: The Year Of Creation

2015: The Year Of Creation

2015: The Year Of Creation

Well a year has passed. My Journey has only just begun. If you want to see last year’s goals, check out 2014: The Journey.

I followed my heart and my dreams all the way to India. I found true love. Adventure. Disappointment. You can read my year in review here.

So in the spirit of the new year, I’ve whipped up some goals to accomplish in the year 2015.

Some of my fellow bloggers have made equally amazing New Year’s posts, so check them out:

2015: The Year Of Creation

  • Write a blog post at least once a week.
I’ve managed to write one blog post per week for most of this year, but there were moments where I was unable to post. I’d like to eliminate the inconsistency.
  • Work For myself.
Last year, I had this same goal. However, I was under someone’s thumb. I didn’t make much progress working for myself when I was dependent upon on earning a paycheck from someone else. Towards the end of 2014, this started to change. In 2015, I want to survive by working for myself.
  • Travel around India with DN.
Since I’ll be spending a lot of time in the U.S. after January – I may not return until June, or later – this goal won’t be possible until my return.
  • Visit Japan.
At last, my dream of visiting Japan has resurfaced. Before returning to India for a third time, I’d like to visit Japan. Even if for just 2 weeks, although it’s my dream to experience living there for a little while.
  • Become physically healthier.
I lost a lot of weight in 2014, especially after my surgery. I will continue to lose weight in a healthy way with the help of exercise and cardio, when I return to the U.S.
  • Find an uplifting spiritual practice.
Meditation really helped me, when I practiced for awhile, back in 2011. However, I’d like to find a spiritual practice that nourishes my soul as well as quiets my mind. I’d like to be able to do this on a daily basis.
  • Learn Hindi – Speak in basic conversations, with little error, by the end of the year.
My lessons began in 2012, but on and off, and I was self learning. In 2014, I learned a lot, but was too shy to put it into practice. In 2015, I’d like to be able to speak most of what’s on my mind and communicate efficiently in basic conversation.
  • Learn to dance – Like an official style of Dance.
I can dance, but I don’t know any official dance moves or steps. I’d never win a competition or anything like that. I’d really like to learn all kinds of styles of dance this year. Dancing is a great outlet for me.
  • Learn more Digital Painting techniques.
I’d like to get back into Digitally Painting in my free time. It’s one of my favorite hobbies. I’d like to improve my skills.
  • In work: Never settle for less than my financial worth.
In 2014, I did a lot of settling. Settling for my financial worth was a big mistake on my end, and I won’t repeat it in 2015. I spent a lot of time working for other people who paid me half of my worth – but I needed the money.
  • Volunteer more.
Because of the strange changes my life took, after my relationship pursuit, I spent a lot of time trying to impress a society that rejected me, and not enough time helping people in need. I want to be the person I said I was going to be… The person I need to be. That person is someone who spends time helping people.

Happy New Year
